Susan Bowder

My gr-gr-gr-gr grandmother is Susan Bowder, born 7th Apr 1823, somewhere in Pennsylvania. I do not have much yet on her early years. I have long suspected her parents lived in Lancaster County, PA, but so far lack any solid proof.

Susan's parents were Jacob Bowder and Rebecca. Various sources indicate her surname was Rebecca Wetters, but another source says "Walter(s)". Until a marriage record between Jacob and Rebecca is found, I may never know.

Jacob and Rebecca had at least six children: Catherine, Susan, Jacob, John, Elizabeth and Jonas. More information about these individuals can be found in in my online family trees.
