March 14, 1907, Brandon Journal, abstracted information... Mrs. George Firth, died at her home one mile west of the Hospital Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock... Susan Elliott was born Feb. 4, 1837, in England...to America with parents at age 4 and lived her younger days near Rockford, IL...married George Firth there on Jan. 1, 1860, removing to this city at the time of the building of the Hospital (insane asylum) where Mr. Firth was employed for four years as a brickmakeRex After removing to farm in Westburg township where they lived until seven years ago when they bought their present home...survived by husband and eleven children, John, Charles, Florence, George, Mrs. Emmons Clarke, Mrs. Hugh Miller, Mrs. John Neidy, Frank and Sarah living in this county and J. Firth of North Dakota...member of the Methodist church at Vista...funeral from the family home Tuesday afternoon with burial at Oakwood.... (Lot 573)

Note: 1900 census indicates they had 14 children, and 11 were living. I don't know who the other 3 were. They must have died very young as no "spare" children were found in the censuses.
