In the Name of God Amen I Henry DAWSON the Elder of Moss in the Parish of Campsall in the County of York Farmer, being of sound mind and Memory praised be God do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following. That is to say First I will order and direct that all my just Debts funeral expenses and the Proving and Registering of this my Will shall be paid and discharged as soon as conveniently may be after my Death by me Trustees and Executors hereinafter named out of my Personal Estate which I do hereby charge with the Payment thereof. I Give and Devise all my cottages or Dwellinghouses 'Hereditaments' and real estate whatsoever situate and being at Little Smeaton in the Parish of Womersley or elsewhere in the said bounty of York with all the Rights Members and Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my Son Henry DAWSON the younger his Heirs and assigns for eveRex I Give and Bequeath unto my good friend George Burks of Moss aforesaid Farmer and my said son Henry DAWSON the younger of Moss aforesaid farmer all my ready Money Securities for Money Goods Chattels Cattle Flock Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or quality soever Upon special trust and confidence nevertheless and to and for the Ends Intents and Purposes hereinafter mentioned that is to say Upon Trust that they the said George Burks and Henry DAWSON the younger or he survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such survivor do and shall as soon as conveniently may be after my Decease call in and receive all such sum and sums of money as shall or may be due and owing to me at the time of my death and also sell and dispose of all other my personal estate and effects to bequeath to them in trust as aforesaid or so much and such Part and Parts thereof as shall or may in their judgements be necessary to answer the purposes hereinafter mentioned and convert ths same into money and by and with the money to arise thereby or therefrom and to be called in and receive as aforesaid in the first place to pay off and discharge all my said just Debts, Funeral Expenses the charges of proving and registering of this my Will and and the costs charges and expenses of them my said trustees and in about the execution of this my Will and the trusts hereby in them reposed and after payment thereof there upon further trust that they my said Trustees of the Survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such survivor shall and do pay to my children hereinafter named the several and respective sums of hereinafter mentioned in addition to the several sums of money already advanced by me to them respectively that is to say To my son William DAWSON the sum of Fifty Pounds To my daughter Ann Huntsman the sum of Forty Pounds To my daughter Mary Ratcliffe [should be Rockliff] the sum of Forty Pounds To my daughter Sarah Jaques the sum of Forty Pounds to my Daughter Hannah Oliver the sum of Thirty Pounds and to my Daughter Susannah Jubb the sum of Twenty five pounds to whom respectively I do hereby give and Bequeath the said several and respective legacies and all which said several and respective legacies I do hereby will order and direct shall be paid to the said several and respective legacies at the end of six calendar months next after my decease and after payment of the said several and respective legacies hereinbefore by me bequeath and the said several other matters and things as aforesaid in case of any surplus monies or other effects shall then remain in the Hands or Possession of them my said Trustees or the Survivor of them or the Executor or Administrator of such Survivor under or by virtue of this my Will I do hereby give and bequeath all such surplus monies and other effects The Mark of Henry X DAWSON Witnesses: Nathaniel Baxter Robert Parish Wm Palmer

as shall or may so remain in the hand or possession of them my said Trustees under or by virtue of this my will after payment of all my said just Debts Funeral expenses, the charges of proving and registering of this my will The said several and respective Legacies hereinbefore by me bequeathed and the costs, charges and expenses of them my said trustees in and about the execution of this my Will and the trusts hereby in them reposed, unto my said son Henry DAWSON the younger his executors and administors to and for his and their own absolute use and my will and mind is and I do hereby order and direct that they my said Trustees or either of them shall not be answerable or accountable for more monies or other effects than what shall actually come to their or his hands or possession by virtue of this my Will nor shall they or either of them be answerable or accountable for the other of them nor for the Acts Deeds Recepits and Defaults of the other of them but each of them for his own Acts Deeds Receipts and Defaults only nor shall they or either of them be answerable or accountable for any Loss or Damage which shall or may happen or befal such trust monies or any part thereof by reason of any bad or insufficient security or securities whereon the same or any part thereof now is or are or shall be placed out at Interest nor by the failure of any person or persons Bank or Banker where or in whose hands or custody the said trust monies or any part thereof shall or may be placed for safe custody without their wilful default they my said Trustees acting in the Trusts hereby in them reposed according to the best of their judgements and discretion and that it shall and may be lawful to and for them my said Trustees to reimburse and satisfy themselves and himself by and out of the said Trust Monies and Effects all such Loss Costs Charges Damages and Expenses as they or the survivor of them or the Executor or Administrator of such survivor shall ormay necessarily pay expense or be put unto and also for their loss of time in and about the Execution of this my Will and the Trusts hereby in them reposed and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint them the said George Burks and Henry DAWSON the young joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Trust nevertheless for the purposes aforesaid and hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills and codicils by me at any time heretofore made I do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Henry DAWSON the said Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained on two sheets of paper set my Hand and Seal. That is to say my Hand to the first sheet thereof and my Hand and Sealto this the second and lasat sheet thereof this Sixth Day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred andnine.

-3- I do hereby certify that on the twelfth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and then George Burks of Moss in the Parish of Campsall in the County of York only surviving executor named in this the last Will and Testament of Henry DAWSON the Elder late of Moss aforesaid in the Diocese of York Farmer deceased was sworn well and truly to execute and perform the same; and that the whole of the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased, within the Diocese of York, do not amount in value to the sum of three hundred pounds
